I have actually seen way worse. It wouldn't be the first time a site defaults to French, because hey you're located in Switzerland after all right...
Mozilla consistently bragging about Firefox having fingerprint resistance.. And then not allowing you to disable the timezone spoofing aspect of it is the dumbest thing ever. It will always report UTC and the only workaround is to disable fingerprint resistance all together... Why is this still not fixed ffs
Maybe my thought is completely wrong. But with the whole Google Play taking down fediverse apps because a few servers are spreading hatespeech. Wouldn't a simple disclaimer like "This app is not responsible for content provided on third party servers" be enough? Kinda like the same message you'll get when going into the multiplayer menu in Minecraft (and probably other games) for the first time.
Someone just found my old apartment in Haarlem the Netherlands up for rent again.. It's just 150% of the price I paid.. Therefore more rent than we pay in Basel Switzerland.. And we even have more space... Tell me again how the renting market in the Netherlands isn't completely saturated and fucked up..
Feedback from native speakers is appreciated, although keep in mind that I don't intend on it being 100% accurate so I don't intend of adding a trillion exceptions
In order for me to better pick up on the literal pages of rules while trying to German. I ended up attempting a slightly different approach. I ended up just turning it into some code. https://gitlab.com/schoentoon/german in case someone is interested.
I, like probably many others have completely missed this 🤔
Ran into this by accident https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Country_specific_consent_requirements legit surprised to read that in the Netherlands you'll generally not need permission to take someone their picture and publish it 🤔
Extremely happy to live in a country where you even need consent for taking a picture though 😂
Git is planning to switch to SHA-256 soon. This is all great news, but the best thing is the command to convert an existing repo to the new hash. It reads like a shitpost and gets better with each argument:
git convert-repo --to-hash=sha-256 --frobnicate-blobs --climb-subtrees --liability-waiver=none --use-shovels --carbon-offsets
